If you are studying relative pronouns and adverbs, then this little activity might be one you want to add to your other interactive notebook/journal activities.
This activity will help your students better understand the common core standard: CCSS.ELA-Literacy.L.4.1a Use relative pronouns (who, whose, whom, which, that) and relative adverbs (where, when, why).
Although this is a common core standard for fourth, I am listing it for 3-5 because you may have some younger kids that need something more advanced, or older kids that need a review.
Some grammar skills are just not as exciting as others, and actually can be quite boring. So, with that in mind, I have tried to create a little activity that will make it a bit more enjoyable.
This pack focuses on the word 'relative' to help them better understand that relative means related to. There are definition pieces included, as well as puzzle pieces to represent 'related' and going together. Students will be able to write down examples on each part of the puzzle piece.
