What educators are saying
Description
I have taught middle school general science for 14 years and decided to create a resource that we were missing: a pointed and accurate reference that fully explains each Science and Engineering Practice. If students understood and practiced the skills in all 52 sub-categories, I have great confidence they will do well on the 8th grade NGSS test, not to mention become a more productive critical-thinking citizen.
Each lesson is presented in beautiful full-color PDF that can be digitally distributed to students. I include a grayscale version if your intention is to make copies. I am the sole author and designer. All of the writing is original content based on 14 years of experience teaching middle school science. The backgrounds are hand-drawn. All pictures and graphics are made by me. I have obtained permission to use the fonts by the respective authors. Also included is a QR code that links to a read-aloud for student use (Read by myself and hosted on YouTube). An answer key is included. This is my very best work and plan on releasing all 52 lessons as a workbook or in a stand-alone app... eventually. As I finish lessons, I will post them here. Being a teacher, husband, and father means this is a side-passion for me. I have likely put more than 100 hours into the framework that this document is based on. The next one shouldn't take as long, but will be just as high quality. Although this has been proofread and vetted in a real classroom, small mistakes and typos will inevitably be found and I will continuously update the files to make them the best they can be.
Look at the first page as an example of my style. I purposely omitted that huge "SAMPLE" graphic that ruins the first page because I want my vision to be seen as intended.
