What educators are saying

This is exactly what I was looking for! I love that there are multiple choices for the kids to use to record their information.
I used this as a google slides activity. It was great to also use with Mystery Science and their endangered mini lessons and ecosystems unit.

Description

Engage students in writing, science, and research skills with this endangered animals project for Google Classroom and distance learning. Students are first asked to choose an animal from the included list of endangered animals. Students will then find the information about the animal, while filling in all of the graphic organizers included in the digital pack.

Students are then asked to complete a "Did You Know" list, including ten important and fun facts they learned through their research.

Finally, students are asked to write a fictional narrative from the perspective of the animal. They will create a character and write about their life, including why they are endangered, and how humans can fix the problems.

This resource is entirely created in Google Slides and can easily be assigned to students in Google Classroom. Full directions on how to assign to students is included in the pack, as well.

This is a great project to use for Earth Day to get your students researching and writing, but can definitely be used at any time of year.

Thanks for looking!
