Description
Are you about to teach the Unit on the States of Matter and its Properties? Then consider one of my former students' favorite series of activities. The States of Matter: Interactive Science Lab Activities BUNDLE is the set of various complementary activities and handouts to use when teaching Unit on Matter. The collection is designed to address the characteristics and the properties of four fundamental states of matter: solid, liquid, gasses, and plasma, and its changing phases: melting, freezing, boiling, condensation, evaporation, sublimation, and deposition.
I say learning shouldn't be boring and it gets even better when it can be tasted. Yes, learning the differences between solid, liquid, gas, and plasma might be challenging for some of them. Understanding that the matter changes when the heat energy is removed or added (and what this means on the molecular level) could not be more fun! Students will master the terms such as evaporation, freezing, solid, liquid, gas, plasma, condensation, volume, mass, melting, freezing, and sublimation through engaging videos, interactive content foldables, and hands-on activities.
In a simplified but rigorous way, address your students with diverse learning needs, to make meaningful and authentic connections to the lesson whether learning about the solid, liquid, gas, or plasma state of matter and/or its changing phases.
Different approaches to the essential information encourage the repetition and true understanding of the various states of matter and its changing phases.
The bundle consists of separate products that address vocabulary and concept acquisition for the four fundamental states of matter: solid, liquid, gas, and plasma, and the changing phases of matter: melting, freezing, boiling, condensation, evaporation, sublimation, and deposition. All in all, a great set of activities to build the base for critical scientific knowledge.
All in all, the set includes well-designed activities aiming to increase the quality of learning while decreasing the time for preparation. The package will help you to guide your students to visualize and understand the states of matter with well-prepared hands-on activities, various printable worksheets, and illustrated foldables for Interactive Science Notebooks.
With more than 100 pages, your kiddos will learn about solids, liquids, gases, plasma, evaporation, melting, freezing, heating, sublimation, and much more! While some textbooks are excellent, most probably bore your students and frustrates you. Forget those books for a day or two, instead try this set out. Why should you present the ideas didactically as discrete facts to be accepted, rather than as clues of principles to be discovered and explored? Create a curriculum that engages students by relating science to their everyday lives. Don’t lessons become more explicit when it links the topic to an issue that affects them personally? Gauge the students' understanding and adapt quickly to their needs. Teach the same concepts and still support students with a wide range of learning levels.
NOTE: The bundle is being updated. Therefore, not all pieces are available at the moment. The price will increase as the items are added.
