Science Prefixes and Suffixes Bulletin Board

Teach your science students how to learn difficult science vocabulary using these science prefix and suffix vocabulary word wall cards for your classroom bulletin board. This set of 87 science prefixes and suffixes will teach students the meaning of science vocabulary to help them better understand scientific vocabulary. Choose to hang the terms as a year-long science bulletin board or introduce a new science prefix and suffix each week. Science puzzles are also included. • Science headers: Science Root Words Prefixes Suffixes (will print on 8.5" x 11" paper)
• 87 prefixes, root words, and suffixes related to science (will print 3 terms on one 8.5" x 11" paper)
• Science puzzles to cut out and have students put together to determine the word part, meaning, illustration, and example.
• Science vocabulary sheet - Students can track new vocabulary terms that they learn

How to use this science bulletin board set:

• Create a year-long science bulletin board set that provides students reference to the various prefix, suffixes, and root words.
• Reinforce English language learners
• Create a science word wall. Hang the word part and have students find science words that use that word part to place underneath it.
• Sub plans: Have students write the science word part term in their notebooks and research different words that have that term. Then, students can create a definition and illustration based on their knowledge.
• Science puzzles: Divide into groups so students can practice connecting the word part, illustration, meaning, and example.
