This science of reading bundle includes both heart words AND decodable high frequency words! This allows teachers to be consistent with the way students practice each word, whether or not the word is a heart word or high frequency word.

What is the difference between heart words, high frequency words, and sight words?

    • Heart Words: These words have at least one part that is not decodable. This is the part we need to know my heart.
    • High frequency words: These are commonly occurring words students need to learn. They may be decodable or contain heart parts.
    • Sight words: Sight words is often used to mean high frequency words, but in reality, sight words are any words we know by sight. If you are looking for sight word worksheets, these will be a great fit!
