Description

This paper chain activity is designed to strengthen students’ skill in converting between Scientific Notation & Standard Notation. Students start at the “Start” link and will find the next link in the chain by matching the Scientific Notation on the “Start” link to the corresponding Standard Notation on the next link. Students will continue to build the chain in this manner until they reach the 30th link which is the “Stop” link.

This self-checking activity is a wonderful hands on activity that is sure to engage students!

Answer key is included. Each link is numbered which makes this activity easy to check by checking the correct order of the links.
