What educators are saying

In Florida, we have the BEST standards, but this is perfect because it absolutely nails the BEST standard! All things Tobin... always!
Great way to end my lessons that are standards based. It helped me form groups for the next lesson and determine who might need a small group reteach and who was ready to go on. They were easy to use and easy to keep track of.

    Description

Would you like a way to give your second grade students reading exit tickets that are standards-based reading assessments? These daily quick check tickets cover 2nd grade RI and RL standards, which are literature (fiction) and informational (nonfiction) reading Common Core standards.

Each exit ticket is one-third of a page, so you'll print the pages, cut them apart, and pass them out each day after your reading lesson to quickly assess your students' grasp of standards-based instruction.

Each day, the focus of the exit ticket is different.

    • Day 1: Questions about standard
    • Day 2: Questions about how the standard was used that day in practice
    • Day 3: Standards-based practice using illustration comprehension
    • Day 4: Passage with 2 multiple choice standards-based questions
    • Day 5: Passage with 1 multiple choice and 1 short answer standards-based question
