Description
Help your students build self-control and self-regulation skills with this workbook! It is packed with meaningful activities and strategies to help kids stop, think, act, and reflect. This includes learning what self-control means, how to calm down in the moment, understand a problem or situation, list their choices, consider consequences, and make the best choice.
Step-By-Step Self-Control Practice
This workbook focuses on teaching self-control with a simple 4-step approach. The steps include learning how to:
- Stop: Students will learn how to pause in the moment and use calming strategies before reacting. They will practice activities like mindful breathing, positive self-talk, brain breaks, and more.
- Think: Students will learn about how to think through a situation or problem. This includes thinking about their feelings, listing out choices they have, thinking through actual consequences.
- Act: Students will learn what it means to make a good choice and how to feel proud of the responsible choices they are making.
- Reflect: Students will learn how to think back and reflect on their choices. In turn, this can make them better decision-makers for the future.
Digital and Print Versions
Digital: The digital version includes moveable pieces to make learning self-control fun and interactive. Note that the digital version might be best-suited for computers and laptops, as students need to move individual pieces.
Print: The print versions include both black/white options. Print the activities and complete them as a workbook or use as single worksheets.
