Shout Out Bulletin Board for a Positive Classroom Climate
- PDF
Description
This is a bulletin board set that allows you to showcase "Shout Outs" for acts of kindness in your classroom. It's a great back to school bulletin board because it can focus on positive behaviors and critical classroom expectations. Two different font titles are included so that you can choose which fits your board best. White background or black background options are also included.
How To Use
Use this “Shout Out Board” as a way to encourage positive acts of kindness in your classroom and in your school. This can be a great way to promote a positive classroom climate right from the start.
Set up the board on your own with the background, border, kid images, and title “Shout Out Board”. You may also decorate it with your own border if you choose. Leave the middle of the board blank.
Make several copies of the “Shout Out” pages. Choose whether you want to copy color or black & white pages. Print on colored paper for a special added effect. Set them up in a place where all students (and adults) can access them in your classroom.
Explain to kids that when they see someone doing something extra kind and caring, they can fill out a “Shout Out” slip. Have a system for students to “turn them in” to you, if you choose. That way you can check them before they go up on the board.
You can staple the “Shout Out” slips up on your own or make it a student’s job during the morning, afternoon, or once a week. Kids will love seeing their own names up on the shout out board, just promoting and encouraging more kindness over time.
This bulletin board would be a great addition for regular education teachers, special education teachers, and more!
