What educators are saying

This is a great resource to use during testing week or half days. My students enjoyed watching the talks and learned something about themselves.
My sieves were very engaged in the talk and it helped them understand what being an everyday leader really means.

Description

*Updated! This resource includes PDFs as well as links to Google Apps to be used digitally. Print or go digital - whichever works best for your class!

Ted Talks are an awesome way to break up a long class period, transition between units, or provide a little pick-me-up if students seem a bit down or off their game. I've searched through hundreds of talks (not necessarily a chore) and found these six that my students enjoyed the most.

This product includes worksheets to accompany Ted Talks related to leadership or building good character: being driven, open-minded, helpful. Each is six minutes (at the most) and sure to keep the students engaged with a little bit of humor, accompanying visuals, and relevant topics. The talks may be quick, but they lead to good discussions from the students and the worksheets have the students relate the topics to their own experiences.

Includes QR codes and guide questions for the following talks:

"Everyday leadership"

"A life lesson from a volunteer firefighter"

"Try something new for 30 days"

"How to start a movement"

"What I learned from 2,000 obituaries"

"Weird or just different"

I've also included a worksheet to make a quick bulletin board with the students' responses to one of the questions for "Everyday leadership."

I hope your students love them as much as my students do!
