What educators are saying

This has been great for my students who are having difficulty with understanding subject/predicate.
I used this activity as a homework to make it fun. The students really enjoyed it instead of a boring working. Thank you!

Description

Subject and Predicate Sort - This is an activity where students will sort cards into the correct category - subject of predicate. There are a total of 16 cards to make 8 complete sentences. After the cards are sorted, they will write the sentences onto the skill sheet provided, where they will underline the subject once and the predicate twice. They will then circle the verb. They are instructed to write four of their own sentences on the back and follow the same directions.

This works great for a literacy center. They can even work with a partner to do the sorting part, and then complete the sentences individually for a grade.

Includes: sorting mat, 16 sentence parts, skill sheet
