Description

This is a substitute folder for Grades 3-5 {Turning a headache into a Piece of Cake} If you are like me, being at school even when you are sick is so much easier than getting things ready for a sub. But,let's face it... sometimes you just have to be out, so being prepared is so much easier. If you get this folder ready at the start of the school year, you will be so glad you did. I have tried to make it a 'piece of cake'.... or rather a CUPcake, just because cupcakes are so cute. :-)

If you have the ability to add text boxes using your adobe then you can type right on these forms, although you won't be able to save them with the text boxes on them. If you can't add text boxes with your version of adobe, you can just print them and hand write them. You only have to write it once so it's not a big deal (at least I don't think so). So, just know that you may have to hand write on these, but they still look great when they are done.

UPDATE - a powerpoint version is also included. With this version, you will insert text boxes over the images and type your text into the boxes. You can insert text boxes anywhere in the file just like you would with any other powerpoint.

Here is what you get....

22 pages of the following

*cute cover with a 'piece of CUPcake' theme

*Student list page (you may need to make more than one copy, includes how they get home, and if they leave the class for pull out

*Daily schdule

*Specials schedule

*Important Info boxes to type in the following: teacher helper, student helpers, attendance procedures, arrival prodedures, lunch procedures, ice cream procedures, recess procedures, restroom procedures, nurse procedures, dismissal procedures

*Emergency procedures- a sheet where you can staple map and school procedures to it

*Emergency procedures - if you would like to write out additional info.

*Notes from the sub to the teacher, space for absent students to be listed

*Additional notes from teacher to sub, space to include cell number

*Themed attendance form incase you don't have any designated school forms to attach or you ran out

*Sweet Treat awards to give to 2 boys/girls to receive a sweet treat when you return (behavior incentive)

*a cover sheet to attach to typed lesson plans - I always have 2 days of typed lesson plans in my folder at the start of the year, this may just be worksheets with directions.

*A themed sheet that simply says 'lesson plans' for you to include specific directions

*EXTRA activities list - includes 8 activities for those extra blocks of time when the sub may need something you didn't plan for. These can also be used if you are out in a real emergency and you haven't included any specific plans. 8 activities are included and they only need paper, pencil, and crayons

*List of journal topics incase the sub needs ideas.

*A themed sheet that includes subject areas to write workbook pages or textbook pages that kids should know how to do on their own. We always have practice pages in the back of our math book that I sometimes never use, so those are good to include.

*Ends with a thank-you sheet where the sub can write their contact info.

I hope you like this themed cupcake set. I think your sub will surely appreciate the extra effort you took to give her something SWEET to look at. :-)
