Description

Included in this pack are 4 math games using dice and/or a deck of cards.

High Roller
Students need a die, a partner, and a recording sheet. Students take turns rolling the die to fill in each place value shown on the recording sheet. Students continue this process until all rounds are completed. Subtracting 2, 3 and 4 digit numbers is asked of students during this game.

Aces are Wild
Students need a deck of cards (2-9 and Ace), a partner, and a recording sheet. Students take turns choosing cards from the deck to fill in each place value shown on the recording sheet. Students continue this process until all rounds are completed. Subtracting 2, 3 and 4 digit numbers is asked of students during this game.

Estimation High Roller
Students need a die, a partner, and a recording sheet. Students take turns rolling the die to fill in each place value shown on the recording sheet. Students then round the numbers to come up with the estimate of the difference of the two numbers. Students continue this process until all rounds are completed. Subtracting 2, 3 and 4 digit numbers is asked of students during this game.

These games are very engaging for students, providing a review on the concepts of subtracting across zeros into the thousands, as well as estimating and rounding to the greatest place value. These are perfect for centers, or just a good ol' fashioned review of concepts.
