Description

Engage your students in an exciting superhero-themed art lesson that will leave them feeling empowered and looking like true heroes! Through entertaining drawing activities and creative idea pages, students will draw their very own superhero self-portraits while reflecting on their courage, admirable qualities, and the outstanding achievements they hope to accomplish.

What makes this art activity truly remarkable is its versatility. Whether you teach art, language arts, math, or science, there's something for everyone in this lesson, allowing for integration across various subjects. School counselors may also find value in utilizing this lesson to explore the admirable qualities and courage of heroes.

To further enrich the experience, I've added a link to relevant TED-ED videos showcasing the mathematical and scientific principles essential for becoming a superhero. By the end of this lesson, your students might just perceive you as their very own superhero, too!

The roll a superhero was a great activator for my alliteration lesson through Zoom. We created superheros and then moved to alliteration lesson for ELA lesson on Zoom. Super Fun!

I use this as a warm up activity with my 1st Grade Artists for their Superhero Self-Portraits. I love the integrated activities for my early finishers. This would also be a great sub activity. I love everything I get from Expressive Monkey. Thank you.
