    Description

This technology rules poster bundle includes all of the posters for iPads, Chromebooks, laptops and desktop computers. These posters are a great way to establish expectations for using technology in the classroom.

    Description of iPromise iPad Poster:

This resource is intended to be printed and turned into an iPromise iPad Poster to help set the tone for the year for using iPads in the classroom. Two iPads are to be printed: 1. An iPad that states the reminders/rules for the classroom 2. A blank iPad. After reviewing the 5 reminders students will make their promise by signing the blank iPad with either their signature or thumbprint. This resource is not editable.

Check out THIS blog post for more details!

Two different rules posters are included:

I CAN Statements (images substitute some of the words):

    • I can have clean hands when working on the iPad.
    • I can carry the iPad with my two hands.
    • I can stay seated while working on the iPad.
    • I can keep water/liquids away from the iPad.
    • I can use the apps that my teacher instructs me to use.

    5 iPad Reminders:

    • Make sure your hands are clean before using the iPad.
    • Always carry the iPad with two hands.
    • Stay seated while using the iPad.
    • Do not hit or bang the iPad.
    • No liquids around the iPad.
    • I will only use apps and programs my teacher has instructed me to use.

I purchased colored poster board and printed the title “iPromise” and iPads on white cardstock before gluing down. Students can “sign” the blank iPad with their signature or thumbprint. They LOVE my multicolored ink pad that you can find on Amazon.

I have included a couple of different colored iPad options as well as a check list of some of the iPad features I go over when working with K/1 students.

    Description of Chromebook Poster:

    1. First decide if you would like to call your poster the Chromebook Contract, Chromebook Covenant, Chromebook Commitment (Thank you Liz Reyes for this one!). Print the scroll with the title you decide. There are 4 different colored scrolls for all three titles: pink, blue, green & black.

    2. Decide which colored "Chromebook" you would like to use to display the 8 rules. This is not an editable file. 5 colors are included: pink, green, purple, yellow and black. Chromebook expectations include:

    • I will carry my Chromebook with two hands.
    • I will always be kind to my Chromebook and tap the keys softly.
    • I will keep food & drinks away from my Chromebook.
    • I will only use the apps & websites my teacher tells me to use.
    • I will stop what I'm doing and listen when my teachers is talking and giving directions.
    • I will be a good digital citizen at all times.
    • I will make sure to log-off once I am finished using my Chromebook.
    • I will return the Chromebook to the proper place for charging.

    3. Decide if you would like for students to "sign" the contract/covenant/commitment with their thumbprint (This is what I like to do...it makes it more memorable) or signature. You can find the colorful ink pad I use on my Amazon list HERE under "Random Favorites"). 5 different colored "Chromebooks" are included for the thumbprint computer (this contains a thumb emoji) and the signature computer (this contains the signature emoji): pink, green, purple, yellow and black.

    4. Print all of the pieces (I like to use white card stock so it is more durable, especially if you plan to glue down)>Cut>Assemble. I added my Chromebook cutout and title to a black piece of poster board. You could also hang the pieces on a bulletin board. This makes a small display if you would like to hang it on a Chromebook cart :)

Hang your poster in a visible spot in your classroom to serve as a reminder for using technology appropriately in the classroom!

    Description of Laptop/Computer Poster:

This Laptop and Computer Rules Poster is a great way to establish expectations for using technology in the classroom. After sharing my iPad Promise Poster for iPad Classrooms, I had many requests to create something similar for Chromebooks and then one for laptop/desktop computer users!!

    Lots of options are included:

    1. First decide if you would like to call your poster the:

    • Computer Contract
    • Computer Commitment
    • Laptop Contract
    • Laptop Commitment
    • Laptop Laws
    • Laptop License
    • Tech Treaty

There are 4 different colored scrolls for all seven titles: pink, blue, green & black.

    2. Decide which colored "laptop/computer" you would like to use to display the 8 rules. This is not an editable file. 5 colors are included: pink, green, purple, yellow and black. Laptop expectations include:

    • I will carry my laptop with two hands.
    • I will always be kind to my laptop and tap the keys softly.
    • I will keep food & drinks away from my laptop.
    • I will only use the apps & websites my teacher tells me to use.
    • I will stop what I'm doing and listen when my teachers is talking and giving directions.
    • I will be a good digital citizen at all times.
    • I will make sure to log-off once I am finished using my laptop.
    • I will return the laptop to the proper place for charging.

    Desktop computer expectations include:

    • I will treat my computer with respect.
    • I will always be kind to my computer and tap the keys softly.
    • I will keep food & drinks away from my computer.
    • I will only use the apps & websites my teacher tells me to use.
    • I will stop what I'm doing and listen when my teachers is talking and giving directions.
    • I will be a good digital citizen at all times.
    • I will make sure to log-off once I am finished using my computer.
    • I will clean up my area and push in my chair when I am finished using my computer.

    3. Decide if you would like for students to "sign" the contract with their thumbprint (This is what I like to do...it makes it more memorable) or signature. You can find the colorful ink pad I use on my Amazon list HERE under "Random Favorites"). 5 different colored "laptops/computers" are included for the thumbprint computer (this contains a thumb emoji) and the signature computer (this contains the signature emoji): pink, green, purple, yellow and black.

    4. Print all of the pieces (I like to use white card stock so it is more durable, especially if you plan to glue down)>Cut>Assemble. I added my laptop/computer cutout and title to a black piece of poster board. You could also hang the pieces on a bulletin board. This makes a small display if you would like to hang it on a charging cart :)
