The toolkit includes a song listing of 61 songs that can be used in ANY history or social studies classroom. The plan includes an overview of the 61 songs to give the teacher an understanding of each song, plus a suggestion for activities or strategies that can be used. Artist suggestions include: Bob Dylan, Beatles, Bruce Springsteen, Macklemore, Tupac, No Doubt, Johnny Cash, Marvin Gaye, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, and many more!

The song listing is divided into 15 different topics or issues that are relevant to any history or social studies classroom.
