What educators are saying

My students really enjoyed learning about the different holidays celebrated around the world. I even learned a few things! This was great to keep the students interested and learning in the days leading up to break.
It's great for students to see similar holidays around the world, it also expands the students global view.

Description

Third grade students are learning about countries around the World. This fun, engaging, and interactive activity asks students to create an EASY flip book while learning about Thanksgiving (and similar holidays and traditions) from around the world.

This is also available in the Ultimate Thanksgiving BUNDLE by Clicking HERE!

We are making this flip book over the course of November. I print a page every day or two for students to complete. At the end, they will staple this together and have a a completed flip book of the information they learned.

The pages included in the book include:

*History of Thanksgiving in the United States.

*August Moon Festival in China

*Harvest Festivals in Korea and Brazil

*Homowo Festival in Ghana

*Erntedankfest Festival in Germany

Each page includes a quick reading passage about the traditions in the particular country. Based on the feedback I received on the Halloween flipbook, there is also a page at the end for note-taking.

Print the flip book for students, have them work on each page, and then have students cut on the dotted line of each page, and then staple the book together. I promise it's easy. I don't like crafts very much, and I assure you this isn't difficult to put together! :)

Thanks for looking!
