Description

This is a 21 page ActivInspire flipchart for Promethean Boards.

The lesson is aligned with the 3rd grade Louisiana Believes Guidebook and Learn Zillion lesson #20. I extended that lesson to focus on the central message, moral, theme standard.

The flipchart includes:

- review of what we already covered

- connection to the CWT Culminating Writing Task topic and rubric expectations

- I can statements

- Hook about who is Beatix Potter

- Read aloud link to Youtube for the text

- LA Believes student edition pages for the Close Read so the teacher can model a close read and write on the passage

- Review slides about morals, central message, theme

- Examples of sample themes in literature

- Gradual Release model: I do, We do, You do (modeled with EBSR Part A Part B) with answers underneath the picture for self-checking

- Kagan Structure: Talking Chips

- Exit ticket in MS Word inserted that can be printed for students

- Closure/reflection

(My Bitmojis are in the flipchart. All you have to do is delete the pics. Add your own! The kids love them!)

Please see my other TPT items for this Guidebook. Thanks.
