The Potato Olympics Bundle includes;

- Lesson Plan including VIC Curriculum Standards

- Full Potato Olympics Booklet including; the 5 events (Diving, Spinning, Gymnastics, Hockey and Diving) and instructions, prediction and attempt graphing, and the Athlete's Profile

- Ceremony Award Certificate Template

*Made during my time on placement for a Year 5 grade. This lesson was taught over 2 sessions (although I would recommend almost giving a whole day to this activity!).

Optional tasks/ tips:

- Art: The students are given materials to design and decorate their potato (using the Athlete's Profile)

- Geography: Each student is given a country to research, make a poster or present three facts about their country.

- Hold a Ceremony to present each Potato (each student walks down an 'aisle' with a theme song for their country, and reads a short description of their Athlete and their country.

- Split them into 'teams' and they work together to research a country and present before the Olympics begin.

- If you are not restricted for time, would recommend running each event as a whole class. Although, if you are restricted for time- best to do a rotation process in teams.
