⭐⭐WILLIAMS' MODEL OF CREATIVITY ⭐
This lesson is based on Williams' Model of Creativity, a model designed to develop the traits of creativity in students. This particular resource focuses on these traits:

☀️ Fluency - the ability to generate a lot of ideas
☀️ Imagination - the ability to build mental pictures and visualize possibilities

In addition to addressing standards and providing an engaging and effective classroom experience, these activities will also build students' creativity skills.

Frequently Asked Questions:

1. Does it really work to combine the thesaurus with writing a poem? Absolutely! In fact, students will be more motivated to use the thesaurus when they're applying what they learned right away and in such a cool form.

2. Is "Dust of Snow" too advanced for my younger students? The beauty of Robert Frost is that his poetry is approachable for younger students. If you have older students, they'll get even deeper into it, and their own poems they write will be more advanced, but this is a CCSS text for second grade!

3. What's the point of the visuals? By providing quality visuals, you allow students to see things in their mind's eye without pressure. The can bring their ideas more fully to life when they're inspired by the beauty of the images.

4. I've never heard of the Williams' Model before. Is that a problem? Nope! These lessons are designed to be plug-and-play. I've done all the Williams' work for you (choosing traits to develop and strategies to use). All you need to do is use the activities. The activities will do the rest!
