These task cards cover the skills listed below:
Translate verbal statements into algebraic expressions (#1-12)
Given an algebraic expression, write a verbal statement (#13-24)
Translate a sentence into an algebraic equation (#25-36)
Translate an equation into a corresponding verbal sentence (#37-48)
Identify the correct relationship for a scenario (word problem (#49-52)
There are four 4” x 5” cards on each page with an answer key and recording sheet for student use.
Suggestion:
Print the cards on cardstock and cut them apart. You might want to laminate them for durability. Many teachers store them in baggies or punch them and hang cards on a ring.

Task cards are great for differentiating your material. Use them as daily warm-ups, for intervention, extra practice for early finishers, whole class games, paired activities ... the ideas are numerous.
