What educators are saying

These are great posters. I really appreciate the various sizes. Students found them easy to relate to, which make remembering the correct noise level much easier.
I love how it has real life situations they can relate to so that they can think about voice level. Numbering voice levels was too ambiguous for mine and this is more concrete.

Description

**Now with a first week of school cut & paste activity!** Most students struggle with traditional "Voice Levels 0-3" charts because it's a tough concept...what does a 1 even sound like?! I thought this product would be a great way to relate every day settings into different "working modes" for students. This unique product has helped hundreds of teachers give their students real-life examples of working modes in the classroom.

Plus, it's so much more fun to say "Coffee Shop Mode!" and not "Where is your Level 1 voice?"

This original product includes:

**All of the direction text is able to be edited so you can make the wording your own. Titles and clipart at NOT editable (usage rights, sorry!)

Posters (laminate for durability and display somewhere prominent with an arrow or push-light to let students know which "mode" they should be on!)

  • Movie Theater Mode - when someone is presenting or during whole class instruction (8/2023 - Library Mode alternative added)
  • Coffee Shop Mode - independent work time, silent voices, music in background
  • Restaurant Mode - partner or small group work, talking to those at your "table"
  • Supermarket Mode - milling around and visiting at a normal volume, such as free time or indoor recess... (because no one runs yelling and screaming around the supermarket!)
  • Simplified real life photographs with and without symbols
  • Basic logo version for middle/high school use
  • Skinny space saving version
  • B&W and color versions of all posters
  • NEW: Teach this procedure and assess their understanding with a cut and paste sorting activity!
