What educators are saying

We used this in our grade 2 classroom for our math bulletin board after a discussion about what it means to be a mathematician. A great visual reminder for our students!

Description

This product is aligned with the Common Core 8 math practices and highlights the things that mathematicians do:

Talk about math
Explain their ideas
Make predictions
Work together
Compare
Make mistakes
Record ideas
Change their ideas
Check their work
Look for challenges

Each page has 2 of the things that mathematicians do. I use these on my math word wall. There are two pages at the end of this packet that contain all of the things that mathematicians do (one in black & white and one in color). This is a great resource for children to refer to in their math journals, and also a great resource to send home with parents so they know what is expected of their little mathematicians!
