What educators are saying

In the beginning of the year I always teach what is a scientist and the scientific method. We used these as a catalyst for that teaching. Students loved making them and putting information on them.
Thank you for creating this activity! It is a great way to reinforce and monitor student's understanding of the skills learned.

Description

What is a scientist and what do they do? This activity is a fun way to teach students about the inquiry method of science. Students will create their own scientist! There are a number of options for you to chose from to help differentiate this science activity for your class. It is a great activity for the beginning of the school year.

Once students have made their scientist, they can write about things they wonder about a particular unit of science. For example: What is soil made of? Why is the sky blue?

or

Students can pose a question, make a plan, explore and then record their results and conclusion on the inside panel. See the preview for examples of a finished product.

4 Different versions of the boy and girl are included.
