What educators are saying
Yes! My students loved these real world "would you rather" activities. Special needs students needed some coaching, but they loved being involved and they successfully completed it. Please make more! :D
These are great discussion pieces for sharing ideas and thinking. I used them as a small group activity, and they sparked a lot of conversation.
Description
This set of real world task cards includes twelve different situations that are presented where the students will use percentages to calculate both scenarios to help them decide which is mathematically better.
This is a great activity to get students up and moving around the room. The task cards can be printed out and posted around the room. Students can then randomly go to problems to solve. Going in a random order allows students to move at their own pace.
