What educators are saying

This was put out as a station fort Lunar New Year in the library and the students didn't want to leave. This was a great space for those that are budding artists

Description

The Chinese New Year 2023 will be the start of the Year of the Rabbit. With this resource, kids will learn how to draw a rabbit and add Chinese designs to the rabbit. Take a look at the preview images to see all the variations the resource provides, from drawing to coloring and everything in between. Lots of choices for both students and teachers so that you can tailor this lesson to your student's interests and skill level, and every rabbit will look different!

Art teachers can use this as a drawing lesson & classroom teachers can feel confident having students either draw or color the designs using the drawing tutorials that are easy for anyone to follow. You will also get step-by-step instructions for adding color. Of course, you can just use markers or colored pencils, but I always like to suggest a few ways to combine art media to produce a final result that really pops!

Your Students Will:

  • Draw a rabbit and add Chinese designs to the rabbit.
  • Add color using a choice of media.
