Zoo Field Trip Activity : Zoo Animals Word Search : Early Finishers

Zoo Field Trip: Are you headed on a field trip to your local zoo? If so, your students will enjoy this word search!! It's a great way to get a hectic day started or to finish it off for some quiet time. If your students are like mine, they love these.

In this zoo field trip themed puzzle, words are found forward, backward, up, down, and diagonal. I would consider it on the challenging side since students are looking for words in all directions. (see the list below).

**I have included 3 different titles for you, so you can use it in various situations. The puzzle is the same on each one. The titles are "Zoo Time Fun", "Zoo Scavenger Hunt", and "Zoo Field Trip".

I use word searches to introduce vocabulary, or even just give it as morning work. They are also great to glue in writing notebooks for future writing topics. Perfect for a sub, too. Have your students pick words from the list to use in a writing activity following your field trip to the zoo. Use it as a guide to have them share about the events of the day. How about homework to recap the day. Use this zoo themed word search however you would like in your classroom.
