Teaching in a Pennsylvania public high school since 2006.
I use primarily grammar-translate with my Latin students in I and II, moving to reading authentic Roman authors in III-V to cover important historical events and the material needed for the AP exams.
I usually sign my emails "Head of the Latin Department" since I'm the only one in my building : )
BA in Latin from Franklin & Marshall College (2004) MAT in Latin from University of Vermont (2006) Currently earning my PhD from University of Florida
I am supposed to be using Ecce Romani, but I got so fed up with it that I've created nearly all of my own vocabulary lists, worksheets, stories, and tests. I particularly enjoy writing stories in Latin for my students. It is a good amount of work, but I love to write, and it allows me to tailor them much more closely to the unit of grammar we're doing. Plus when that information eventually comes out in class it really stuns my students.
