TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught high school math for eight years. Before that, I spent two years teaching at the college level. I have experience teaching Statistics, Remedial Math, Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2. I have taught on-level and honors level students. I was on a team to completely re-write the mathematics standards for our private school and spearheaded the implementation of the new standards.
In our homeschool co-op, I've taught elementary science, middle school speech, logic and critical thinking, middle school PBL, and world geography.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to use various techniques in my classroom. I frequently use direct instruction with frequent breaks, authentic math tasks, foldables, and discovery activities.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I published a textbook ancillary while teaching a college-level remedial math class. I have been a team-lead for multiple courses and have been the technology mentor for my department.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Master of Science in Statistics
Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics
