Past The Potholes

Hey teachers!

We're Claire and Terry, two Ontario teachers with a combined 40+ years of teaching experience! Claire is the upper elementary teacher and Terry specializes in middle school.

We believe in creating engaging yet rigorous learning opportunities that build problem-solving and critical thinking in our students.
BUT we believe teachers need a life outside the classroom too!

Our mission is to help you save time while elevating the quality of instruction with teaching tips and resources focused on Math, Language Arts and Assessment that align with the Ontario Curriculum.
You can find lots of useful tips, strategies and resources on our blog to help you fill those teaching potholes and enjoy each day!

We both believe in student-led, inquiry-based learning.

Our lessons provide opportunities for students to collaborate while solving real-world problems while we provide the support and instruction needed to excel.

Both of us have a Bachelor of Education.

Terry has a Masters in Education.

Claire has Media Specialist and Integration of Information and Computer Technology in the Classroom Specialist.

We love to travel and play multiple sports, so we love to find ways to save time and make teaching less stressful!
