What educators are saying

I can't wait to use these for our life cycles unit. I had previously purchased the frog foldable and my class loved it! It was a really cute way to learn about the different stages of a frog, and I can't wait to use this whole package!
What I loved about this resource was that it reinforced our science lessons and the activities could be completed independently in a center. The students loved them.

    Description

Explore a variety of plant and animal life cycles with this resource bundle of fun, foldable activities. These cut-and-paste sequencing printables are a hands-on alternative to science worksheets and are differentiated so you can use the templates best suited to your learners.

Use them for your seasonal science centers, interactive notebooks, or year-round learning about animal and plant life cycles.

There are 10 life cycles included in this resource:

    • Sunflower (plant)
    • Pumpkin (plant)
    • Bean (plant)
    • Butterfly (insect)
    • Turtle (reptile)
    • Chicken (bird)
    • Ladybug (insect)
    • Honeybee (insect)
    • Apple (plant)
    • Frog (amphibian)

Instructions for students, including picture guides showing where to fold, are included in each pack.

For each animal or plant, students can color a template, sequence the life cycle stages, glue them in place, cut and fold. Easy-cut templates are included for those who might be less confident with scissors.

    Benefits of these activities:

    • Low prep
    • Children learn about life cycles in a fun and hands-on way, that’s a bit different from a standard science worksheet.
    • Can be used to introduce the life cycle, or as a review/assessment to check understanding.
    • Encourages fine motor/scissor skills, hand-eye coordination (folding), and sequencing.
    • Differentiated options allow for multiple age ranges or abilities to do the same activity.
    • Finished foldouts can be inserted into an interactive notebook where they can be referenced by children.
