Description
This error analysis activity will make your students really think about the circumference and area of circles. Students identify incorrect statements about the area and circumference of circles when presented with radius or diameter. Students are then asked to fix each error on their answer sheet.
On each card there are 2 circles with radius or diameter given, as well as 3 statements about the circles' area or circumference. Students need to figure out which of the 3 statements is false (the "lie"), then correct the false statement on their answer sheet.
This activity gives students practice finding area and circumference of circles, along with practice recognizing errors when they occur.
There are 10 cards, a student answer sheet and an answer key included.
