Description

2024 Calendar with Poems About Teaching & K-12 Student Calendar Poem Templates

Description

Teachers are a hardy lot. They are, among many virtues, patient, kind, empathetic, enthusiastic, courageous, creative, respectful, and have a wonderful sense of humor. Most also appreciate great poetry when they read and/or hear it.

To that end, I have created this teacher calendar with accompanying student calendar templates for poems. I have painstakingly written a poem for each month of the year from a teacher’s perspective. Several images accompany each poem to enlighten and illuminate each piece of work.

I am a self-award winning poet, and I have a certificate (one of many self-awarded certificates, I might modestly add) to prove it printed from my very own home computer printer.

I was a teacher for 44 years. I taught students in grades 1 – 6 as a regular classroom teacher. I also served as a Reading Recovery teacher, a reading interventionist, and finally, as a dyslexia teacher. I salute my fellow teachers.

Included with the teacher calendar and poems (did I say that I have many self-awarded awards for my work?) are a year’s worth of calendar templates for students to write their own poems and illustrate them. Each of the student calendar templates includes a month from 2024, simple illustrations highlighting a theme for the month, a lined section for students to write their poem, and an empty box for students to add their own illustration of their poem. This resource can be used at all grade levels.

I hope you enjoy the poems. Thank you for all you do!
