Pocket Chart Sort Cards:

Students will sort the cards under the correct sound "ed" is making in the word.

Partner Game: Materials - 1 die and counters

Put game counters on start. Roll the die to see who goes first. The player with the greatest number goes first.

Player 1 rolls the die. Then, moves that many spaces. The player reads the word on the space it landed and determines which sound ed makes in that word. For example, if a player landed on the word kicked. The player would say ”ed sounds like /t/.” If the player is wrong, they move back to where they were. The player to finish first wins!

Clip Cards

Use a paper clip OR cloths pin to pick the correct ending sound on each word. ***Print on card stock paper.
