Description

This is an Interactive Smart Notebook 11 file. This file contains lessons and printables to teach 3D geometry.

Pg 1 What does one dimensional, two dimensional, three dimensional mean? Includes definition and visuals.
Pg 2 The flat surfaces of a 3D shape are called faces. There is a diagram of a rectangular prism. Students can drag the faces of the prism together to build the 3D shape.
Pg 3 An edge is where 2 faces meet. There is a diagram showing one of the edges of a rectangular prism. Students can move the two faces that make an edge.
Pg 4 What is a vertex or vertices? There is a diagram to explain what a vertex is.
Pg 5 What is a prism? There is a definition and diagram to show a prism. Students can move the two bases onto the pentagonal prism.
Pg 6 What is the difference between a prism and a pyramid? There is a definition and diagram to explain the difference.
Pg 7 - 8 Identifying Nets There is a model and a net of a triangular based pyramid and a triangular prism. The models include an explanation of the nets.
Pg 9 Match the nets with the 3D Shapes. Students will drag the 3D shape that matches the net. When they are finished they can check their answers by clicking on the check mark.
Pg 10 - 5 Six printable pages to reinforce skills. These are great for class work, homework or evaluation.
