What educators are saying

I love the variety of activities across the Algebra 1 curriculum! It is so well designed and organized you can find exactly the skills which you want to have the students review. My students found the various scavenger hunts to be among the most engaging I have used with them.
This is a great resource that I use to supplement with my students and I will continue to use it in the future.

Explain how the definition of the meaning of rational exponents follows from extending the properties of integer exponents to those values, allowing for a notation for radicals in terms of rational exponents. For example, we define 5 to the 1/3 power to be the cube root of 5 because we want (5 to the 1/3 power)Β³ = 5 to the (1/3)(3) power to hold, so (5 to the 1/3 power)Β³ must equal 5.
Rewrite expressions involving radicals and rational exponents using the properties of exponents.
Interpret expressions that represent a quantity in terms of its context.
Interpret parts of an expression, such as terms, factors, and coefficients.
Use the structure of an expression to identify ways to rewrite it. For example, see 𝘹⁴ – 𝘺⁴ as (𝘹²)Β² – (𝘺²)Β², thus recognizing it as a difference of squares that can be factored as (𝘹² – 𝘺²)(𝘹² + 𝘺²).
