Description
Target answering WH questions from short narrative and non-fiction texts. This resource perfect for your students who need help with reading comprehension and understanding that "who" means a person, "what" means a thing, and so on. There are two levels of each text included.
This resource contains:
- WH question visuals (pages 5-6)
- 30 narrative texts, each with 2 different versions (pages 8-67)
- 30 non-fiction texts, each with 2 different versions (pages 69-128)
Each worksheet has a short text on a topic and 6 questions (1 for each WH question type) on the bottom. There is a who, what, when, where, why, and how question for each text.
There are two different styles of worksheet for each text. The two versions are:
Level 1: Multiple choice answers that can be cut and glued to answer each question
Level 2: Same text and questions but no visuals and no answer choices (empty answer boxes)
On the level 2 worksheets, the text boxes are EDITABLE so that you can fill in the boxes on the computer without printing! This means this packet would be great for teletherapy or as a no-print option. To do this, you will need to open the packet in Adobe Reader.
To make teletherapy easier, this resource includes Boom cards™️ and Google Slides™️. The Boom cards™️ are an interactive, digital version of the level 1 worksheets so your students can drag and drop their answers into the correct boxes. The Google Slides™️ are a digital version of the level 2 worksheets. This version should be easier to pull up, type on, and draw on during your teletherapy sessions.
Leveling:
This resource allows for differentiation in several ways. In general, the narrative texts in this resource will be easier to understand compared to the non-fiction texts. Within each of those sections is level 1 and 2 as well (see above).
