I like to place this lesson close to the end of the school year for my younger, elementary students. We spend a little time looking at each piece of artwork in this packet, identifying the main elements, guessing what they think might be going on in the artwork or what the artist might have wanted to tell us with the title, etc.
Then I make sure to ask them what they think of it - if they like it, or if they don’t - and explain why?
