Career exploration: This elementary school counseling classroom guidance career lesson guides students to consider their interests, skills, and values as they think about potential careers. In lesson 1, students create a job ad for their perfect career based on these factors and then work with peers to brainstorm actual careers that fit the bill. In lesson 2, students learn how to write a basic cover letter and then draft a cover letter to their future employer based on the perfect careers they created in lesson 1.
