Description

Hit science and language art standards in this engaging learning experience. In this activity, students will watch a TEDEd video on the chemistry of cookies. Perfect for fifth through eighth grade, students will identify and explain the causes and effects that take place during the cooking process of a holiday favorite: cookies! Then, students think about how changing an ingredient in the cookies to accommodate either someone with allergies or dietary restrictions would impact the overall chemistry of the baking process.
