Description

In this 9 week course, students will receive an overview of the film making process. This includes jobs in the field, equipment that is used, film making terminology, and more. Students will complete a variety of activities and course work. This course is independent study. Students will use YouTube, Google Search, personal film library and their public library to find the answers for their work. This class can be taken together with Film History. This makes for a half year elective class. It can be used for a .5 elective high school credit.

Students will create a short film for their final project with this course. This project can be completed with any video production, camera, phone, and/or computer equipment that is available to the student. If the student does not have access to any of these electronic devices, they can substitute a storyboard for completion of this course.

Students should follow the course calendar that is provided. All work is divided into 9 weeks. It will be up to you as the teacher to decide due dates.

Answers to all handouts are included.
