Description
This classroom guidance lesson is designed for fifth grade (or the highest grade in your elementary school) students to identify problems within the school and generate ideas for combatting those problems. I use this lesson about mid-way through the first semester as a jumping-off point for creating student-led anti-bullying initiatives. Information from this lesson will assist you in creating and promoting positive programs for your school while simultaneously instilling a sense of "ownership" of the problem within the students.
Includes lesson plan (objectives, outline, materials list, ASCA standards alignment), handouts, and objectives assessment checklist.
I use this lesson with fifth grade, but it is appropriate for grades 4-6.
