Description
This classroom guidance lesson is a cooperative activity that encourage creativity and inter-group respect. Students work together with provided materials to create the tallest stand-alone spaceship. The debrief for this activity provides valuable insight into the cooperative process!
Includes: lesson plan (objectives, outline, materials list, ASCA standards alignment), debrief survey, and objectives assessment checklist.
Additional materials needed: uncooked spaghetti, marshmallows, tape, twine, styrofoam cups, scissors, and a yardstick.
I use this lesson with fifth grade, but it is appropriate for grades 4-6.
