My students loved using this resource. They were engaged and interested in what they were learning. Thank you!
OUTSTANDING! It's always fun to show Coco for the students to learn about Dia de los Muertos. The movie guide is above and beyond great, and the activities allow for the students to go deeper than just filling out the movie guide. 100% happy!

Great to watch to learn more about Mexican culture and Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos) This guide may also work well as a sub plan for your substitute teacher.

Steeped in Mexican culture and folklore, the movie follows young Miguel whose dreams of becoming a musician are hampered by his family's ban on music. Magically entering the Land of the Dead, Miguel embarks on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind his family history.

How can movies help students learn English?

Learning from movies is motivating and enjoyable

- Sometimes students need a change in style, and movies are generally an integral

part of a student's life.

Movies provides authentic and varied language

- It's always a good idea to introduce students examples of English in real

situations. This includes accents different to your own.

Movies gives a visual context

- This gives the student the ability to interpret the language in full visual context.

To see such visual supports as facial expressions and gestures simultaneously.

Variety and flexibility

- Movies can also act as a springboard for follow-up tasks such as discussions,

debates on social issues, role plays, reconstructing a dialogue or summarising.
