Description
Students are given a house blueprint with polynomial wall lengths and a set of task cards. They are then asked to find lengths, such as "the length of the kitchen's north wall" or "the perimeter of the dining room", by combining like terms. My students always enjoyed this activity. Being able to combine like terms is so important and this activity makes it fun for them! All polynomials are linear; there are no exponents in this activity.
The download includes a blueprint, 16 task cards, a student answer sheet and a PDF answer key. This download also includes a link to a digital version in GOOGLE Forms. There are directions (with video) linked inside for making the Google Form self-checking. Includes both print + interactive digital versions.
