Computer Rules Lesson | Technology Computer Care | We Don't Eat our Classmates
What educators are saying
Description
Do your students take good care of computer equipment? This lesson on computer care tips will help! I use this presentation right after reading We Don’t Eat our Classmates by Ryan T. Higgins – hence the cute dinosaur theme! Just like Penelope had to get a few things straight about school and friendships, your students need to be clear on YOUR EXPECTATIONS regarding the care of your school’s expensive computer devices! (Mine sure did!)
Each of my twelve tips can be customized to fit YOUR rules and YOUR school situation. The rules are purposely generic to fit all devices -- Chromebooks, PCs, tablets, Apple products, etc. And here's a BONUS for you -- after the lesson, print them out on 8.5 X 11 cardstock for a great bulletin board display!
WHAT YOU'LL RECEIVE:
-- A PowerPoint (or PDF) with an introduction and 12 slides with computer care tips. (BONUS: These slides make GREAT bulletin board posters after the lesson!)
-- Another set of slides without any text (so you can customize your tips).
-- A page of instructions with a little background for each tip.
-- An exit ticket that asks students to describe two tips for a "new student."
-- Several options for your title slide...
"We Don't Eat our Computers!"
"We Don't Eat our iPads!"
"We Don't Eat our Tablets"
"We Don't Eat our _______"
(The fonts that I used are from TpT -- KG Corner of the Sky and APL Teacher Tired, if you want to match them to mine.)
