What is the coronavirus and how can I help? Empower young children with information about the coronavirus they can understand and give them actions to help. This simple packet includes an easy to understand booklet, a virus coloring page, a thank you note for community helpers and a facts page. Children hear adults talk about the coronavirus (COVID-19) and need the facts explained to them in a kid friendly way. Print this booklet in color or black and white for your students or child. It teaches them the basics of a virus and gives them actionable ways to stop the spread with kid friendly graphics. It includes actions such as hand washing, covering your cough and staying 6 feet away from others. It also reminds children to say thank you to community helpers.

Also included is a thank you note for children to decorate, draw a picture on, or write a note for community workers who are still working during the coronavirus pandemic. The notes could be left in mailboxes for postal workers, given to grocery store clerks, restaurant workers, or medical professionals. Children would feel good to know that they are being a part of something positive during a scary time.
