Description
This project provides the opportunity for students to apply the Common Core practice of mathematical modeling to plan their own dream vacations, including choosing transportation, accommodations, food, and activities. It helps them learn to develop a budget, research various trip alternatives, and present the information to their classmates. It's amazing how quickly students realize that a limo to the airport, first class airplane ticket, 4-star hotel, and upscale restaurants may not quite be as affordable as they first planned!
Great for math classes, applied business classes, or life skills classes.
Project is provided in Microsoft Word format, so it can be edited to fit your students' needs!
