I use this powerpoint presentation to help teach my students important terms related to poetry. The terms and definitions included are:

Repetition
Mood
Theme
Stanza
Meter
Rhyme

Also included in this presentation are three sample poems. With each poem, I will ask my students questions such as 1)How many stanzas does this poem have? 2)Does it rhyme? 3)What is the theme? 4)What is the mood? 5)Can you find the rhythm?
